Introduction
Hi, I’m Mackenzie. I’ve dreamed of starting my own bakery since I was little, and I’m overjoyed to finally be launching Bronzewood Bakery in May 2023!
Where it All Began. . .
My journey started while working at a grocery store.
On one of the slower evenings I was working, I noticed we were out of Halloween cookies for our display, so I decided to try my hand at decorating. My manager at the time was impressed and offered the position of decorator in training, and of course, I said YES! I learned under the decorators who had been working there for a while, then moved to another location to hone my skills. I discovered I had a passion for pastry arts!
In 2021, a coworker empowered me to expand my pastry skills, and I enrolled at a school I had been considering for a while, Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. I graduated from their occupational study in professional pastry arts in February 2023, and look forward to putting my broader skillset into action.
A Little About Me
I have been decorating cakes since 2017, and my favorite has always been wedding cakes. I have a passion for designing delicious and unique cakes as well as crafting intricate pastries! Infusing eye-catching details into my art and creating something totally unique lights my fire.
I am always adventurous and open to unique ideas! It is my goal to make your special day as smooth and as memorable as possible.
In my non-baking time, I enjoy reading and watching TV shows, and fantasy is my favorite genre. I am a dog lover! I have four Bernese mountain dogs and a mini-dachshund. Finally, travel has always been a passion of mine. Italy is my favorite destination so far!
